 Mr. Robert Emmott

Mr. Emmott is the current Board Chair. He was re-appointed to a second 3-year term on ABSA’s Board effective July 2016 representing the power generation and utilities sector. Bob began his operations management and engineering career serving in the Royal Navy’s nuclear submarine fleet, and went on to hold executive positions with power companies around the world. Bob is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Maxim Power Corp.


 Dr. Neil Fassina

Dr. Fassina was appointed to his first term on ABSA’s Board representing the Education sector for a 3-year term commencing on April 2016. Dr. Fassina is President at Athabasca University. Prior to joining Athabasca University, Neil held several leadership roles at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT), including provost and vice president academic.


 Ms. Michelle Colleton

Ms. Colleton was appointed to her first term on ABSA’s Board to represent the Minister and interests of public safety for a 3-year term commencing on October 2017. She has been involved in the Occupational Health & Safety field for the past 20 years and has served on a number of boards relating to workplace safety.


Mr. Alejandro Carvallo

Mr. Carvallo was appointed to his first term on ABSA’s Board as a manufacturing representative for pressure equipment manufacturing for a 3-year term commencing on July 2017. Alejandro is the owner of Braeside Fabricators Inc. in Calgary, Alberta. Prior to acquiring Braeside, he held managerial and executive position with an international engineering and procurement company.


 

 Ms. Pamela McIntyre

Ms. McIntyre was appointed to her first term on ABSA’s board as an industry representative for a 3-year term commencing July, 2018. Pamela is a professional engineer and currently holds the position of Senior Vice-President, Safety, Risk Management and Innovation, with CNRL in Calgary, Alberta.
