Yes! You don’t have to come to us, we can go to you. Since 2004, ABSA has held in-house courses for industry organizations throughout the globe. This option is both cost-effective and a great forum for your employees to discuss at length with a subject matter expert on how ABSA affects your organization.

Yes, we can accommodate most requests to develop and deliver in-house courses to suit your needs. We have worked with many organizations to develop seminars to meet specific requirements. Send us an email at learningservices@absa.ca for more information.

ABSA Seminars focus on pressure equipment safety topics. There are no prerequisites to attend ABSA Seminars. Anyone who works in or is interested in pressure equipment such as boilers, pressure vessels and pressure piping are welcome to register and attend.

ABSA has no restrictions on the number of seminars an individual may attend.

ABSA Seminars and workshops are presented by ABSA technical staff.

Registration is subject to class availability.

You can register Online at seminars.absa.ca , by email, in-person or by mail. Payment by credit card, cheque or purchase order is required. Purchase order must accompany the application (AB-136). Complete registration form and fax to (780) 437-7787 or email to learningservices@absa.ca.

If payment is made by cheque, allow 10 business days in order to ensure adequate time for processing. Complete registration form and mail together with payment to:

You will receive confirmation of registration via email within 3 business days. If you do not receive confirmation before your scheduled event, please phone (780)437-9100.

You can cancel by emailing learningservices@absa.ca, or you may phone the ABSA office at (780) 437-9100. Please cancel as early as possible. Please refer to our cancellation and substitutions policy on the seminar registration form (AB-136).

The short answer is no. However, it is a great starting point in receiving education on Alberta pressure equipment legislation.

Public seminars are held at the ABSA office in Edmonton and Calgary. For a full listing of our dates and locations, please consult the Seminar Schedule page.

In most cases, learning materials and lunch will be provided.

Seminar registrations are processed on a first-come-first-served basis and our sessions can fill quickly from one day to the next. If the session you are requesting is full, we can add your name to the waiting list by contacting learningservices@absa.ca, and you will be notified once a place becomes available. In the meantime, we suggest selecting a secondary date that we can register you or your participant for.

Most public seminars typically run from 8 am – 5 pm with a break for lunch and breaks throughout the day.

The knowledge you gain from attending our seminars can be quickly and directly applied to your workplace, delivering high end results you can see. We harness the combined experience of our staff to create that genuine advantage for you.

All participants receive a certificate of attendance upon completion of the seminar providing the seminar is attended in its entirety.
