Alberta Chief Power Engineers Education Conference

The 5th Alberta Chief Power Engineers Education Conference is well into the planning stages for 2019. The last 4 years have been very successful in bringing industry together, answering your questions and informing you about what’s happening around Alberta.

The conference was developed in response to requests from Chief Power Engineers who are currently working within power plants, thermal liquid heating system facilities and heating plants as per the Safety Codes Act (ACT) and the Power Engineers Regulation (PER). This educational conference is designed to provide you with additional education to help you in your role and responsibilities under the PER, help with understanding the need to be in compliance to the ACT and Regulation(s) along with other matters that relate to your duties.

The conference is organized by a committee of industry personnel along with advisors from ABSA. We work each year to provide you with relevant, up to date information that you can use.

We invite Chief Power Engineers or the Person in Charge of a plant, along with Approved Power Engineering Training Providers to attend and encourage you to register a guest that you feel will benefit from the conference.

The 2019 conference will be held at the Delta Hotels by Marriott, Edmonton South Conference Center again this year on October 30, with the hospitality suite on October 29. The hospitality suite is a great way to meet other people in industry and network. We are excited to have the Chief Power Engineers Open Forum happening before the hospitality suite this year.
