Principles guiding ABSA's use of personal information:

• Personal information is protected under

  • Alberta Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIP),
  • Alberta Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), and
  • the Federal Governments Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents (PIPEDA) Act

• Records are regulated by the Alberta Governments Records Retention and Disposition Schedule.

Candidate Information:

• personal information may only be updated on instruction from the candidate
• personal information may only be released to the candidate or on the candidates instruction
• information on type of certification and expiry date will be released on inquiry
