Alberta Certified Welding Examiners Online Directory
This online directory provides the information of an welding examiner's name, file
number, certificate type, and certificate expiry date. The directory will be updated
regularly.
Two type of Welding Examiner Certificates are issued: WE and WG series.

WE series are certificates issued to candidates who obtained their certification by
examinations. People holding a certificate with WE series are eligible to work for
any ABSA-authorized welder testing organization.

WG series were certificates issued to candidates without examination in accordance
with Section 16 of the Pressure Welders Regulation. People holding this certificate
are eligible to work for the welder testing organization named on their certificates.
If you employ a welding examiner and would like to verify whether he/she has a valid
and appropriate certificate, or you would simply like to check on your own certification
status, you can use the directory for certification verification.
Note that this directory contains only valid certifications. If a person has not renewed
their certificate, that person will not be listed in the directory. If you have any
